Adjacent to the library is the Arts and Innovations Center, a 40,000-sq.-ft. community center offering classes, meetings, recreation, exhibits, and shows. The center is the new home to the Metropolitan Center for the Visual Arts at Rockville (formerly Rockville Arts Place). The Metropolitan Center for the Visual Arts uses the space for teaching studios, artist studios, art galleries, a museum-quality retail galleria, and an events room for lectures and meetings.
